Similarities between Programmer and Politician
Well you must be thinking what can be similarity between a politician and a programmer, they both are poles apart but there are some similarities between the two and here are some of them –
1. They both make promises, politician to the general public and programmer to his employee and seldom accomplish them.
2. There is inverse relation between the work done and success rate, the more you work less likely is the chance of you getting succeed and direct relation between the more you talk and maintain relations and success, as in case with project manager in programmers.
3. They both have plenty of time but they never accept this fact and keep saying I am very busy.
4. They are experts in performing work in such a way that 1 day work becomes 10 day work and still it does not get completed and they demand more time.
5. They will always be remembered, politicians through their work whether good or bad and programmers through their software’s.
6. They either can make this world a beautiful place or destroy it by their work. Politician through his powers can make such policies which are beneficial for the whole society or he can do things which are in his personal interest, while programmer can either make the best antivirus software’s or can make the people life hell by making viruses.

I’m a programmer and I do understand some of what you have pointed out, but programmers are so much better than politicians. They are actually so far apart.
